Being realistic, children often come to English classes because they have to, not through choice. Therefore it is vital to create an environment that fosters a need on the children’s part to learn. Once they have a desire to express themselves so that they can communicate with me, their desire to learn follows!
That is why games and activities are so effective. Getting a child involved emotionally and psychologically will greatly enhance the speed and the progress of young ones.
The following areas will be covered: Simple Expressions; Vocabulary; Plural forms; Numbers; Colours; The alphabet and its sounds (phonics); Double letter sounds; Reading; Writing (including spelling).
All students will take part in group activities; discussions / role plays / debates – the role of each student will reflect their level. No student will be put in a position where they feel their exposure to the language is either too easy or too difficult.
